Geocaching is a perfect fit for the Scout program. This outdoor activity enables multiple participants to combine Global Positioning technology and more classic skills to hide and seek containers (geocaches or caches) at predetermined locations defined by coordinates. Traditional hiking is well accustomed to navigation using geographic features, stars, sun position and a compass are essential tools for any hike. GPS mobile devices add an additional dimension for the 21st Century hiker. The Scout Q Store now has a GPS kit box of 24 units available for Hire to the Scouting community.
