Celebrity Golf Cart and People Mover for hire at the Scout Q Store"Pud" the golf cart at the Q Store warehouse

Big Events need big solutions for moving people and gear during an Event. The Scout Q Store has purchased a 4-seat Golf Cart for hire to Big Scout Events to accompany the existing 12-seater People mover.

Why do Scout Events need Golf Carts?

How do you move small quantities of heavy stuff safely or small groups of personnel around a Big Event without clogging up the roads or endangering the foot traffic? Open air people movers and golf carts are increasingly common at big events like the Grand Prix.

During Scout Events golf carts have been repeatedly useful for transporting injured or unwell youth and adults, transporting food or equipment during daylight hours when the roadways have a lot of foot traffic, moving groups of leaders and gear to distant activity sites, meal delivery runs when service areas are under the pump, meeting unexpected requests for medical or welfare requests and most importantly the emergency loo paper deliveries.

What types of vehicles are available for hire?"Shirley Bean" the people mover loaded on trailer

The Scout Q Store is now able to offer 2 vehicles for hire for Big Events. They are:

“Shirley Bean”

  • Battery operated
  • 12 seat people mover

“Pud”

  •   Petrol fuelled
  • 4 seater Petrol Golf Cart

Where did the vehicles come from?"Pud" the golf cart rear view

“Pud” the golf cart was new at the 2008 Grand Prix, while “Shirley Bean” started her life at a retirement village. Both are stored and maintained at the Scout Q Store in Dandenong South.

Who can hire “Shirley Bean” and “Pud”?

The vehicles have been purchased, primarily, for the use of Big Scouting Events in Victoria. Their next event will be Cuboree at Gilwell Park, Gembrook in September.

How much are the rates of hire?"Pud" the golf cart front view in Q Store warehouse

The Q Store rates of hire are much less than hiring new vehicles from 3rd Party hire companies. All hire fees are put back into the maintenance and acquisition of equipment for Big Events and the greater Scouter community. For price, availability and bookings  please use our Contact Page
